Context:

Processes:
Most seminars but not all employ these experiential processes:
- Paired inquiry (dyads), guided visualizations, contemplative walks, journaling, small and large group dynamics, partnered training exercises, silent sitting, stretching and yoga, afternoon rest, lectures and Question and Answer periods.
Guidelines to insure:
- Confidentiality
- Non-judgement of others
- Physical safety
- Touching of others by consent only
- Respect of your choice to share or not to share personal information
Trained assistants in addition to the facilitator available 24 hours

- To answer questions
- To guide participants through any personal barriers that arise in the process
Accommodation:
- 2 to 3 per room when accommodation is required.
- Single accommodation for an additional fee.
- Commuting option for some seminars
- Couples accommodation depending on the retreat
Most of the retreats are held in a secluded rural location in the scenic Hockley Valley at the Ecology Retreat Centre, www.ecologyretreatcentre.com 1 hour north of Toronto, Ontario and 50 minutes from the Toronto International Airport.
Meals:
- Buffet style healthy vegetarian meals with balanced protein.
- On true awakening meals are plated with nutritional supplements available
- Special meals are available for those with dietary allergies or sensitivities.
What to bring or leave at home for a True Source Retreat:
Bring:
- Comfortable casual indoor clothing with indoor slippers or shoes
- Weather appropriate outdoor clothing:
Winter boots for walking, warm winter clothes, coat and hat, long-johns or Summer clothes and hat, walking shoes, raincoat and boots, bathing suit if the pool is available
- Toothbrush and toothpaste (non scented soap and shampoo)
- A small cushion for your chair
- A pen and journal if its a requirement of the program
- A non-plastic water bottle with a lid
- Nutritional supplements
- meditation cushion or zen bench and yoga mat (optional)
Leave at home:
- Jewellery and other valuables, audio equipment (mp3’s, CD players, etc),cosmetics, strong colognes and deodorants, pets
- Valuables can be locked in vehicles or retreat staff can store them in a safe space
How to Prepare for a True Source Retreat:
To reduce the possibility of withdrawal symptoms and to optimize the value that you will receive from the seminars and retreats, it is suggested that you:
- Reduce to a minimum the intake of caffeine tea, caffienated pop, coffee, excess sugar, smoking and any type of drug or alcohol for one week prior to the retreat.
- On the true awakening retreat smoking, caffeine, alcohol and drug use is not permitted as they alter consciousness
To get full value from the retreats it is also recommend that you complete any unfinished business, both personal and professional, that might carry over into the time period of the workshops. |
