Fuzzy Vision and Other Barriers on the Road to Success |

Fuzzy Vision
One of the biggest reasons we don't succeed at getting what we want in life is due to an unclear vision and an undefined destination. We are looking at the world through a foggy windshield and when circumstances that are advantageous appear we don't recognize them and we fail to grasp success. So it is vitally important to spend a great deal of time clearly defining what you want and once you have done this then to refine this vision even more into one or two succinct goal statements. Often this first step in getting clear can take a long time but if you persist enough in cleaning the windshield then as you drive you will notice many signs of magical coincidence and synchronicities pointing and leading you to shortcuts along the way. Being clear allows you to recognize the advantages that are in alignment with your vision. Major shifts can happen when you have really defined what you want.Back Seat Drivers Listening to what others tell you what your life should be about and having them instruct you to turn left when you really want to turn right only gets you to the destination where everyone is a reasonable facsimile of everyone else. You need to follow the path that is inside, to be true to your self, to be the unique individual that you are...to be an original. To do this you need to find out your own unique underlying purpose for your life. It can be found and it's easier to discover than you think. When you find it you will have discovered the perpetual energy engine that scientists have said does not exist. It's where you least expected it to be...in your heart. It will empower you, you will feel energized in life and you'll get a whole lot better gas mileage to boot. For instance you may want to become a successful musician but at the same time unconsciously don't want to displease a parent who wants you to become a doctor. Other internal barriers are limiting beliefs such as: "I can't do it", "I'm no good", "I am unable", or "I'm a failure". If you are operating out of any of these fundamental beliefs it will feel as if you are driving with the brake on. You will be pushing the gas to the floor, making a lot of effort, using up a lot of energy and will power getting tired but not getting very far. Often cognitive methods such as the use of affirmations or positive thinking cannot free us because these attitudes are stuck deeply in the mind behind thought in early childhood experiences. In the east it is called karma. In the west it is called guilt and shame. You may prevent yourself from having good things in life because you have done bad acts and you now feel you are undeserving of success. You will needlessly cause yourself to suffer and hold your self back until in your own estimation you have compensated for your sins. If for example you have spent money needlessly or manipulated and hurt others in acquiring money in the past you may not allow your self to have money in the future until you have suffered enough to pay back the harm. You will always over pay. The way to overcome this is through awareness. Every night before you go to bed ask; "What did I learn today?" Be your own guru. Learn from your mistakes and then you won't repeat them. If you don't repeat them then you will feel like you are making progress and will allow good things to enter your life. Unbeknownst to yourself, you are creating negative conditions in your life with the consistent attention you place on the things you don't want. You can learn to turn this around and to manifest what you do want by learning how life works and by working consciously with life's natural dynamics rather unconsciously against it. The techniques that very successful people have used can be learned by anyone but it takes the decision to reach out, learn and practice these. One of the most important epiphanies is to realize that your truth has power and energy and when you learn how to discover on a daily basis what really fulfills you, truth will be the driving force in your life.
