Testimonials

“The Clearing process was truly amazing. I had been struggling with a self-defeating issue that had debilitated me in my relationships with others, for over 10 years. In only two sessions with Russell it was gone…it’s really gone. In fact, I look in my mind and I can’t find it anymore. It’s left me. I wish I would have known about this process years ago!”

“Thanks to the simplicity of Russell's techniques and the warm, supportive environment he created, I discovered a new sense of openness and connection to myself."

“I cannot express enough how incredible the retreat was last weekend. I have never felt so close to myself because of the experience. You and the staff showed such great love, compassion and humor throughout the process.  The experience is so real and gets to the core of who you are.”

“I have taken half dozen True Awakening retreats, which, for me, could well be described as years of therapy. Once you have a "direct experience" of who you are (or of anything else), you never forget it - it stays with you like a reassuring comfort blanket that lets you walk in the world with trust."

Mr. Almost Mostly Nearly Halfway in Between

Have you ever been in that place in life where you are confused about what is really occurring inside yourself or an external situation? You know you have a choice to make, one-way or the other but you are stuck somewhere in the middle?

One day you feel really clear that you should take a certain approach and then the next day you second-guess yourself and you go back into confusion. Sometimes this flip-flopping can go on for days; weeks or even months and you can feel like a fish out of water. It can get intolerable. What do you do? How do you get clear?

Here's a technique that I often use called Contemplating Opposites:

  1. On a blank piece of paper at the top of the page write what it is you are confused about (eg. I'm confused about why I am not motivated at work) and
  2. Draw a line down the middle of the page.
  3. At the top of the left hand column write: "In regards to my issue what I am not clear about is..."
  4. At the top of the right hand column write "In regards to my issue what I am clear about is..."
  5. Go back and forth down the page writing your responses.

What you will find happening, quite remarkably is that as you get clear on what you are unclear about, you will sort out your confusion. You will come to understand what the barrier is that you are facing and out of this will appear a solution. This is called "co-related emergence" meaning that the solution to one's confusion is within the confusion and emerges out of the issue itself. Going into the confusion rather than avoiding it clears it up.

This is one of the many very simple effective techniques that I use in my  Counselling (Clearing) retreats. If you are feeling stuck in any way in your life, this retreat is extremely powerful. In 2 to 3 days you can resolve and be free of deep-seated issues that have been blocking you for years and you will save hundreds of dollars compared to weekly sessions. I am extremely impressed at how effective this format is.

You can book a room and meals at the Ecology Retreat Centre and between sessions hike in the forest or walk the 76' stone labrynith and just do some journaling and let new insights come. (View the Ecology Retreat Centre: click on: >>>ERC<<<)
