Testimonials

“This is truly a powerful technique... My, my, my - how does one find the words? The full realization of it (my enlightenment) did not come until the second to the last dyad on the third day. My question was... What Is Life? … Well...as I try to type the words, to share the experience, I feel myself holding back the words because no words can convey the Sacredness of it... “Life is the face of God!”

Kamakshi - Massage Therapist,

“My experience at the retreat certainly was profound and came at a huge turning point in my life. I can’t property express how blessed I feel. All I know is that it (enlightenment) is more real than anything…this sense of deep meaning and connection helps me trust that the human spirit has limitless possibility."

Brenda McMorrow - Singer/Songwriter.
Guelph, Ontario

"Russell is a man who walks his talk. During the retreat his calm and sure presence, his humour and kindness, guided me to my truth in the way that only a true, wise master can."

Kathryn Jefferies
Professor, Orillia, Ont.

“Within one year of the intensive I left my business and took a chance on a new career...money is not important, nor is status. What is important is the feeling that I am now doing what I was originally meant to do with my life!”

Mr. Almost Mostly Nearly Halfway in Between

Have you ever been in that place in life where you are confused about what is really occurring inside yourself or an external situation? You know you have a choice to make, one-way or the other but you are stuck somewhere in the middle?

One day you feel really clear that you should take a certain approach and then the next day you second-guess yourself and you go back into confusion. Sometimes this flip-flopping can go on for days; weeks or even months and you can feel like a fish out of water. It can get intolerable. What do you do? How do you get clear?

Here's a technique that I often use called Contemplating Opposites:

  1. On a blank piece of paper at the top of the page write what it is you are confused about (eg. I'm confused about why I am not motivated at work) and
  2. Draw a line down the middle of the page.
  3. At the top of the left hand column write: "In regards to my issue what I am not clear about is..."
  4. At the top of the right hand column write "In regards to my issue what I am clear about is..."
  5. Go back and forth down the page writing your responses.

What you will find happening, quite remarkably is that as you get clear on what you are unclear about, you will sort out your confusion. You will come to understand what the barrier is that you are facing and out of this will appear a solution. This is called "co-related emergence" meaning that the solution to one's confusion is within the confusion and emerges out of the issue itself. Going into the confusion rather than avoiding it clears it up.

This is one of the many very simple effective techniques that I use in my  Counselling (Clearing) retreats. If you are feeling stuck in any way in your life, this retreat is extremely powerful. In 2 to 3 days you can resolve and be free of deep-seated issues that have been blocking you for years and you will save hundreds of dollars compared to weekly sessions. I am extremely impressed at how effective this format is.

You can book a room and meals at the Ecology Retreat Centre and between sessions hike in the forest or walk the 76' stone labrynith and just do some journaling and let new insights come. (View the Ecology Retreat Centre: click on: >>>ERC<<<)
