Homes and buildings that are build with straw-bale walls in combination with conventional building methods have proven to be very strong, durable, extremely economical to heat (with a high R-value), cool in the summer, acoustically quiet, aesthetically appealing, ecologically friendly, very fast, and easy to construct!

About the Workshop

In this 2 1/2 day "Hands-on" workshop you will learn all the theory, techniques and skills that will enable you to plan and build Straw-Bale structures.

You will actually construct a small Straw-Bale structure on the property so that you will leave with the knowledge and ability to successfully build your own buildings from small sheds to large homes. Accommodation and "haute-cuisine" vegetarian meals are included in the workshop.
